CEO & Lead Developer
A Greek-American developer & entrepreneur, Myron is HELM's founder and has over 20 years of experience, while is knowledgeable in a vast multitude of development roles, making him the perfect individual for efficient project planning and management, from conceptualization to launching a qualitative product.
Myron has an excellently balanced approach between creative passion and business necessities, with a strong emphasis on efficient and cost effective development, without sacrificing quality.
In addition to his role with HELM, Myron understands what it takes to be an independent game developer and has been actively assisting developers through his lead role in Indie World Order as well as by being the main founder and organizer of Unreal Florida, a local group dedicated to helping developers utilize the Unreal Engine.
Myron has been a recipient of the US Residency as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability in the field of Video Game & Interactive Software Development. Has also been a panelist and presenter at conferences and is currently under contract with an international book publisher, authoring a book specifically on Unreal Engine 5.
CTO & Lead Programmer
Gaj is a brilliant programmer, experienced in a variety of programming roles and environments, ranging from DNA analysis systems and large volume device deployment & maintenance orchestration systems, to deployment of payment terminals used internationally.
Most importantly he is an excellent Unreal developer, with abilities and knowledge in a variety of projects and systems, from gameplay mechanics and AI, to data management and prototyping. He has worked on a multitude of projects that include RPGs, action shooters, VR/AR/XR applications, virtual exhibits and more.
Gaj is not only an excellent programmer, he is also an excellent, well organized and thoroughly detailed planner, who never shies away from a challenge, while thoroughly authoring proper, clean and easy to follow technical documentation.
As soon as there is a technical challenge, Gaj does not lose time, instantly visualizes an array of potential solutions and implementations.
Composer & Audio Director
Laurence is an invaluable veteran of the HELM Systems lineup. A classically trained musical composer with 15 years of experience, an alumnus from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (MMUs graduate with distinction) in England.
Laurence specializes in the production of emotive orchestral soundtracks for interactive media and moving image, and is also an expert in epic world building by combining his expertly thorough knowledge of historical instrumentation with his highly emotive classical compositions.
Laurence is also leading the sound design and engineering needs of HELM's projects, with a very detailed and acoustically demanding approach to environment audio design, combat and locomotion audio design and sound effects, while also actively participating in dialogue scripting and voice actor direction, recording, sound production and mastering.
In addition he is actively contributing in interactive world and lore building and game design theory implementation and testing.
Lead Game Designer
He is an excellent game designer with a lot of attention to detailed and thorough mechanic balancing, optimization and fine tuning. While an avid Souls-like gamer, he can tackle any genre's or project's game design challenges, including not only games but also serious interactive applications.
Experienced in Unity and Unreal, Domen has had a passion for game design and development since an early age, having began his programming journey at the age of 12!
Lead Systems Engineer
Tomaz is an experienced mathematician and in the process of becoming an accomplished physicist, with experience in the fields of physics, electronics and mathematics. Having worked with research teams in medical physics, nuclear physics, while also having participated in other research and art related groups, make him a unique contributor, with a perspective slightly different than that of the traditional programmer or game developer.
Tomaz is particularly interested in the mathematical evaluation and prediction of planned economy models.
He designs and contributes in the design of various mathematical models and mechanics designs, including stat balancing, player leveling, as well as innovative world building implementations.
Tomaz has also developed a game in Godot engine, as a tribute to old-school video gaming. In his inner circle, he goes by the S51LI nickname (once you google it, it will make perfect sense).
